The Evolution of Thai Massage

Only recently, has this age-old modality of healing been brought to the forum of Western practice. Many people have been hooked on its relaxing rhythmic flow and therapeutic effects through the passive participation of stretching in various yoga-based reclined and sitting postures. In combination with acupressure along the energy lines (similar to The Chinese Meridian System), it is a powerful tool to release blockages. 

Ancient Thai Massage is an art form which dates back to 2nd or 3rd century BC. The temple was a centre for developing and sharing inherent tools of life. The spreading of the Dhamma of Buddhist teachings had meditation and healing practices with herbs and bodywork proliferate. The Sangha of support grew in the Buddhist order, passing on healing practices and philosophies from generation to generation in lay families and Royalty.
